Odysseus: "Here's some wine..."
Odysseus encountered the Cyclopes, named Polyphemus, Poseidon's one-eyed monster son. The Cyclops was large and strong that he can carry large objects a human can not lift. The men and him were trapped, but did not want to kill the Cyclops because no one will be able to lift the huge rocks or boulders out of the way. Odysseus offers the Cyclops with wine and liqour. The Cyclops was pleased and wanted to know Odysseus's name. Odysseus lied and said, "Nobhdy" was his name. He, the Cyclops, wanted more wine and liqour until he became drunk and slept. It was the only time that Odysseus and the men were able to peers his eye with a hot axe head. The other Cyclops were worried and wonder why Polyphemus was screeching. He cried out Nobhdy was hurting him. They were confused, but let Polyphemus alone because they thought nobody was physically hurting him. Odysseus and the rest escape.
